Double glazing

Double glazing is a sealed unit of two glass panes with an insulating air or gas gap between them, set into the window frame. In the UAE its value is mostly about heat and noise: the gap slows the sun's heat coming in, so the AC works less on west- and south-facing rooms, and it noticeably dulls traffic and construction noise. The panes are held apart by a spacer and sealed at the edge — and when you see **fog or condensation *inside* the glass** that you can't wipe off, that edge seal has failed and the sealed unit needs replacing (usually keeping the existing frame). For real thermal benefit the frame matters as much as the glass, which is why it's paired with a thermal break. Spec, supply and fit is a job for an aluminium and glazing specialist.
