Almost always yes, by adjusting the concealed (European) hinges — small screws move the door up/down and in/out. If the screw holes have stripped in chipboard, a carpenter re-anchors them. Replacement is rarely needed unless the panel is water-damaged.
Usually humidity swelling the timber, worn or loose hinges letting it drop, or paint built up on the edges. Tightening hinges and easing the sticking edge fixes most; a door that only sticks in humid months is swelling.
Minor swelling can sometimes be sanded and sealed, but MDF or chipboard that has absorbed water and crumbled usually needs the affected panel replaced — the material loses its structural integrity once the core swells.
Tighten the mounting screws first; if they spin freely the hole is stripped — re-anchor with a longer screw or a filled plug. A little dry lubricant eases squeaks, and worn drawer runners are cheap to replace.
For fitted wardrobes, kitchens and awkward spaces, custom joinery uses the space better and lasts longer if well made — but quality varies a lot. Brief the carpenter clearly (materials, hinge/runner brand, finish) and check previous work.
Moisture-resistant boards (MR MDF, marine/WBP plywood) and properly sealed solid timber cope far better than standard MDF or chipboard, especially in kitchens and bathrooms. Sealing all edges is what prevents swelling.
