Damac Hills villa exterior paint is fading and chalking fast — what grade actually survives the sun out here?
Our Damac Hills villa's exterior paint already looks tired, fading and going chalky, and it's not that old. The sun out here is relentless with no shade. Is there a grade of exterior paint that genuinely holds up in this kind of open, sun-blasted community, or does everyone just repaint constantly? And is it the paint or the way it was done? Want to do it once properly, keeping to the community's colour rules of course.

Fast fading and chalking in an open community like Damac Hills is usually a combination of paint grade AND preparation, not the sun alone doing the impossible. What survives here is a proper exterior-grade system, UV-stable and often an elastomeric (flexible, weatherproof) coating, applied over correct prep: sound, clean, primed substrate with any cracks and prior chalk dealt with first. The common reasons it fails early are a cheaper interior-or-standard paint used outside, or good paint slapped over poor prep so it can't bond. Relentless UV then finds every weakness. Done right, an exterior system holds colour and integrity for years even out here. So spec exterior/elastomeric grade, insist on proper surface prep, and use light, UV-stable colours (which your community rules probably favour anyway). Get painting services in Dubai that use exterior-grade systems and prep properly, not a quick recoat that chalks again next year. Ask exactly what product and how many coats over what preparation, that's where longevity is won.
Ours chalked within two years first time because they cut corners on prep. Redone properly with an elastomeric system over proper preparation and it still looks good years later. The prep is genuinely half the job out in this sun.
