Condenser coil fins

The condenser coil fins are the closely-packed thin aluminium fins on the outdoor unit that the condenser coil's tubes pass through, giving a huge surface area to dump the heat the AC collected indoors — with the condenser fan pulling air across them. Two things wreck their performance in Dubai: (1) they clog with dust, sand and lint, choking the airflow so heat can't escape — which drives up head pressure, cuts cooling, raises the bill and can eventually trip the unit on high pressure; and (2) the fins are soft and easily bent flat (a knock, careless pressure-washing, debris), which blocks airflow locally. A caked or flattened condenser is one of the most common reasons an AC 'runs but won't cool' in peak summer. The fix is a gentle wash and, where needed, a fin-comb to straighten them — a standard part of proper AC repair and maintenance, and something to protect whenever anyone works near the outdoor unit.
