DEWA

DEWA (the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority) supplies power and water across Dubai and issues the monthly utility bill. Air conditioning is by far the largest slice of a UAE household's summer electricity use, so small AC habits — a moderate thermostat setpoint, clean filters, sealing gaps that leak cool air — show up directly on the DEWA bill. Other emirates have their own providers, such as ADDC in Abu Dhabi and SEWA in Sharjah.
