Gas top-up (regas)

A gas top-up or “regas” recharges the system with refrigerant after some has leaked out. Because a sealed AC never runs low on its own, topping up without finding the leak just buys a few weeks before cooling fades again — and vents costly gas into the atmosphere. Insist on a leak check and pressure test first; a fair regas is priced by refrigerant type (R22 costs more than R410A) and the amount actually needed.
