Split AC

A split air conditioner puts the noisy compressor and condenser in an outdoor unit and links it by insulated copper pipes to a slim indoor unit on your wall. It's the default across UAE apartments and villas because it cools a room quietly and efficiently, unlike an all-in-one window unit. A single outdoor condenser can serve one indoor head or several at once (a *multi-split*), which is why villas often run a bank of condensers on the roof.
